About this data
This tool searches the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's public recall database. A recall means the CPSC and the manufacturer agreed the product poses a safety risk — it doesn't mean every unit is defective, only that the specific hazard described applies to the product as sold. Always follow the stated remedy (refund, repair, or replace) rather than continuing to use a recalled product.
Coverage is broad but not universal — CPSC handles most consumer products, but motor vehicles, medications, food, and firearms are recalled through other agencies (see our Car Lookup and Drug Safety Lookup apps for those).
Recall data from the CPSC's SaferProducts.gov API (saferproducts.gov). Data is provided by CPSC and is not verified or supplemented by findanapi.
